What is the Essential Dictionary?
The Essential Dictionary is an A-Z dictionary which contains over 19 000 British and American words and phrases. It gives you definitions, examples, and pronunciation and grammar information for all these words, as well as important phrasal verbs and idioms.
The Essential Dictionary also contains hundreds of illustrations and notes. These help you to build your vocabulary and to understand difficult words.

♥ผมขอแนะนำเพิ่มเติมสักนิดว่า  ดิก CD-ROM มีข้อดีกว่าดิกเว็บหลายอย่าง เช่น

1. ใช้ได้โดยไม่ต้องต่อเน็ต
2. มีแบบฝึกหัดให้เล่น, ให้ทำ, ให้ฝึก  เยอะแยะ
3. มีเสียงอ่านทั้งประโยค ไม่ใช่อ่านเพียงแค่เป็นคำ ๆ 
4. มีเพียง 19,000 คำและวลี ซึ่งหมายความว่า เขาคัดเลือกมาเฉพาะศัพท์พื้นฐาน และเน้น, ให้รายละเอียด, และฝึกฝนเรา เฉพาะศัพท์พวกนี้ ส่วนศัพท์ยากเกินไป ยังไม่ต้องเอามายุ่ง
