วิธีที่ 1 : เชื่อม 2 ประโยคเป็นประโยคเดียวโดยใช้ adjective บอกลักษณะ จากประโยคที่สอง
ตัวอย่าง 1
A tiger charged the shooter. It was extremely ferocious.
เชื่อมแล้วได้อย่างนี้
An extremely ferocious tiger charged the shooter.

The sun beat down on the laborers. It was painfully hot.
เชื่อมแล้วได้อย่างนี้

วิธีที่ 3 : เชื่อม 2 ประโยคเป็นประโยคเดียวโดยใช้ who, which หรือ that
who – ใช้กับ คน
which – ใช้กับ สิ่งของ หรือ สัตว์
that – ใช้กับ คน หรือ สิ่งของ
ตัวอย่าง 1
John is an intelligent boy. He has won a scholarship.
เชื่อมแล้วได้อย่างนี้
John, who is an intelligent boy, has won a scholarship.
หรืออย่างนี้
John, who has won a scholarship, is an intelligent boy.

The plane was grounded. It has engine trouble.
เชื่อมแล้วได้อย่างนี้
The plane, which had engine trouble, was grounded.

หมายเหตุ :
สามารถใช้ ‘that’ แทน ‘whom’ เมื่อหมายถึง คน และเมื่อเชื่อมด้วย that ก็ไม่ต้องใส่ ,

วิธีที่ 4 : เชื่อม 2 ประโยคเป็นประโยคเดียว โดยใช้present participle
ตัวอย่าง 1
We found the door open. We went inside.
เชื่อมแล้วได้อย่างนี้
Finding the door open we went inside.
ตัวอย่าง 2
The thieves cut through the padlock. They opened the door.
เชื่อมแล้วได้อย่างนี้
Cutting through the padlock, the thieves opened the door.
